Cyperus diffusus

Marsh rhizomatous species 25 to 80 cm high. Triangular section culms bearing a tuft of linear-lanceolate, glossy leaves at the apex. The culms are produced continuously and make the head very dense. Found in wetlands and along rivers in forests, valleys, grasslands, mountain slopes, footpaths and rice paddies between 100 and 1700 m in much of Asia, northeastern Australia and islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. It prefers moist or semi-submerged soils and is also suitable for ponds. Hardy. 1 potted plant 16cm.
