Horticultural hybrid with winter dormancy.

Semi-buried bulb up to 10 cm in diameter. Ribbon-like leaves up to 50 cm long, deciduous in winter. Robust flower stalk 30-40 cm long, bearing 2-4 large flowers with rounded tepals, white with red streaks. Flowering occurs in spring.

Well-drained soil and shaded location. Water regularly during the growing season (March-November) but leave dry in winter.

Not hardy.

4-5 cm diameter bulb.
