One of the smallest Hippeastrum species described in 2017. Thin leaves, up to 20 cm long, deciduous in winter. Floral scapes up to 15 cm long carrying 2-4 bell-shaped flowers with a diameter of 2.5 cm with white tepals finely streaked with pink. The inflorescences appear at the end of winter or early spring and the leaves also appear immediately afterwards. This species comes from a small area of the state of Rio de Janeiro: Cardoso Moreira where it grows among rocks in humid forests. It requires very well-drained soil and a shaded position. Regular watering in summer but suspended in winter. 1 bulb with a diameter of 1 cm. Not hardy.
