Winter decidous tuberous species. The tuber, discoid in shape, develops a single large leaf with a petiole up to 80 cm long and a palmatosette leaf blade. Spathe wide with wavy margin of brown-red color with whitish base, swollen in the basal part. Very long, reddish spadix.
