Arthropodium cirratum

Evergreen clumping species. Leaves 30-60 cm long by 3-10 cm wide, slightly dull. Branched floral scape, up to 60 cm long, bearing numerous pendulous flowers with six tepals with a tuft of yellow and purple feathery central stamens. Native to New Zealand, grows naturally on rocks in full sun. It therefore needs well-drained soil and a position in full sun or partial shade. It likes abundant watering throughout the year. Not hardy. Plant in a 14 cm pot.
