A clumping succulent.

Small haworthia with semi-transparent leaves, closely packed together and bearing a small apical hair. The leaves are arranged in rosettes, and the rosettes tend to grow very compactly. White flowers appear in long, branched inflorescences.

A native species of South Africa (Eastern Cape Province), it grows in arid areas between 800 and 1,000 meters above sea level. In the wild, the leaves are half-buried in the soil, with only the transparent tips protruding. In the dry season, the leaves lose firmness and retreat into the soil.

Semi-hardy: if kept dry, it can tolerate brief, sporadic frosts down to -5°C.

Bare-root plant.
