Clumping rhizomatous species. Ensiform leaves up to 5-6 cm long by 1-2 cm broad, evergreen or partially drying in winter. Floral stem 15-20 cm long, bearing a single purple flower at the apex. This clone comes from Capo d'Uomo and grows on rocks overlooking the sea. It needs a sunny position and well-drained soil, also excellent for rock gardens. In summer leave dry. Hardy. 1 rhizome.
