Gomphostigma virgatum 'White Candy'

Evergreen shrub up to 2.6 m tall.

Stems thin, erect. Opposite, linear, silvery-green leaves. Terminal inflorescences, spiciform, formed by numerous white flowers with 4 petals. Flowering occurs in summer and is abundant and very showy.

Native to Central-Eastern and Southern Africa. In nature, it grows along rivers and streams and can have its roots partially immersed in water. It needs a rich and deep, constantly moist soil and a position in full sun or partial shade.

Hardy.

It can grow well in moist soils or at the edge of lakes or ponds.
