Lychnis coronaria var. alba (Silene coronaria var. alba, Agrostemma coronaria var. alba)

Herbaceous species with lanceolate leaves covered by a dense white down, gathered in a basal rosette. Inflorescences up to 50 cm long, branched, carrying numerous white flowers with a diameter of 2-3 cm. Flowering occurs in spring (May). The species is native to southern Europe, western Asia and North Africa where it grows in arid areas on stony or rocky soils. Hardy, it requires well-drained soils and a sunny position. 14 cm pot plant.
