Huernia x hybrida VC6

Hurnia hystrix hybrid obtained in our nursery.

Robust, ovoid, branched, trailing or pendulous stems, with flattened triangular tubercles. Papillary flowers, yellowish-green in colour, strongly streaked with red-purple and with reflexed lobes.

It requires a position in partial shade and very well-drained soil. Water every 10-15 days in the vegetative period (mid-March to mid-October) while leaving it completely dry in winter. This hybrid, very beautiful and unusual, is however quite sensitive to low temperatures and winter humidity, so keep in winter in a dry and not too cold place.

Not hardy.
