A succulent species with a creeping habit.
A non-clustering but creeping species. The stems are five-angled, up to 30 cm long, heavily branched, and bearing numerous thorn-like tubercles. The flowers are spectacular: five-pointed, 8-12 cm in diameter, white in this form with green spots resembling arabesques. A truly unusual and distinctive form!
This particular form originates from Ethiopia and grows among rocks or directly on the ground, often protected by vegetation.
It requires very well-drained soil and a semi-shaded or filtered light location; it also tolerates full sun, especially in the morning, evening, or winter. Water once every 10-20 days between May and October, while leaving the plant dry the rest of the year.
The species is not hardy but can tolerate temperatures even close to freezing in low humidity conditions.
Bare-rooted, slightly branched plant.
