Clumping succulent species.

Stems robust and short, quadrangular, tuberculate. Flowers of 2,5-3 cm of diameter, bell-shaped, white with fine red-purple dots in the corolla tube, in groups of 4-5 at the base of the stems.

Native species of South Africa (Limpopo and Mpumalanga) where it grows on shallow soils in sandstone and granite outcrops in the savannah and on dolomite, on north-facing slopes.

It requires very well-drained soil and a location in partial shade or filtered light. Water every 7-20 days during the growing season (approximately March to October), allowing the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Leave dry the rest of the year.

Not hardy: it can tolerate a minimum temperature of 5°C.

Cutting with single or slightly branched stem.
