A clumping succulent species.

Short stems (no more than 3 cm long) and very tuberculous. Small, bell-shaped flowers, only about 1 cm wide, cream-colored, with brown spots. They are smooth on the outside but finely papillose on the inside. Although small, they still have an unpleasant odor.

Huernia whitesloaneana is found only in the Northern Province of South Africa. This species grows in grasslands and savannahs, in exposed sites or in pockets of sandy soil on the tops of sandstone outcrops or in rock crevices.

It requires very well-drained soil and a location in partial shade or filtered light. Water once every 7-20 days during the growing season (approximately March to October), allowing the soil to dry well between waterings.

Not hardy.

Bare-rooted plant with a single or slightly branched stem.
