Hippeastrum iguazuanum x hybrida

Horticultural hybrid of Hippeastrum iguazuanum, growing in summer. Ribbon-shaped leaves 40 cm long and 4-5 cm wide, glaucous green in colour. Floral scape bearing up to four funnel-shaped flowers, red with greenish-white throat, in spring. It requires well-drained soil and a shaded position. Water regularly, allowing the surface of the soil to dry between waterings in summer but leave dry in winter. Not hardy. 1 bulb with a diameter of 3-4 cm.
