Clumping epiphytic species.

Green leaves of 30-70 cm, linear, curved at the apex with slightly toothed margin. Arched inflorescence characterized by showy pink bracts and greenish-white flowers with blue-violaceous apex.

Native species of South American forests: southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina.

In nature it grows on tree trunks or in rock crevices, but in cultivation it adapts to living even in a well-drained substrate. Shaded or partial shade position and regular watering throughout the year.
