Hybrid of horticultural origin, tufted. Thin, narrow leaves, about 20 cm long, arched at the apex, very close to each other. Inflorescences up to 30 cm long, with very showy red imbricated bracts from which small whitish tubular flowers emerge. Easy to grow, it requires well-drained soil and a shaded position. Regular watering in summer but reduced in winter. Not hardy.
