Geranium yoshinoi

Herbaceous perennial with a trailing habit.

Prostrate, branched stems, deciduous in winter, with palmate leaves 3-4 cm in diameter, sub-rounded, supported by a long reddish stalk. Small, pink flowers are produced in large quantities in summer. The trailing stems grow throughout the summer and then dry up in winter.

Adapts to almost all soil types, even rocky or clayey, but does not tolerate waterlogging. Prefers a sunny location and abundant watering in summer. Tolerates brief periods of drought.

Perfectly hardy.
