Sansevieria trifasciata (Dracena trifasciata)

Stoloniferous succulent species. Robust leaves, up to 1.5 m long and 6 cm in diameter, dark green with lighter green bands. Spiciform inflorescence bearing numerous white flowers that open in the evening. Native species of some African regions (from Nigeria to Congo) where it grows mainly on the edges of forests and in shrubby areas. It requires a well-drained substrate and a shaded or semi-shaded position. Water every 10-15 days during the summer but never in winter or at most once a month if the plant is kept in a warm environment. Not hardy.
