Our first hybrid dedicated to my father who passed away in 2008. Sturdy stems, with a circular section, with little visible tubercles, even up to 1 m long by 1-2 cm wide, reddish. Brick-red, star-shaped flowers in sub-apical clusters, about 2 cm in diameter. It requires a very well drained soil and a semi-shaded position. Water every 10-15 days in summer, never in winter. Also excellent for hanging baskets because it tends to fall back. Certainly a very interesting and unusual hybrid. Not hardy. Bare root little plant with single or slightly branched stem.
