The only stapeliina present in the European flora.
Compared to clone 1, the stems are more elongated and very stoloniferous, with slightly pronounced tubercles and of a cerulean green colour. Flowers are as in clone 1.
In the wild it grows on dry limestone cliff or among rocks.
It requires well-drained soil and a partial shade location. Since it produces numerous underground runners, it's best to choose a bowl rather than a pot so the plant can develop optimally. Water every 10-15 days in summer but only once or twice a month in winter.
Low hardiness: it can survive occasional and sporadic drops in temperature down to -2°C and with very dry soil.
Plant in a pot or bare-root.
