Bulbous species deciduous in winter. Ribbon-like leaves, up to 40 cm long. 30-45 cm long flower stalk bearing up to 4 cm panulate pink-orange flowers with darker vanes, 8-9 cm in diameter. This species has a vast distribution ranging from the Caribbean to Argentina. It prefers well-drained soil and a shady location. Regular watering during the vegetative period to be suspended from November to April. Not hardy. Potted plant 12 cm.
