Arum hygrophylum

Tuberous species summer dormant. Sub-cylindrical rhizome with basal bud. Dark green leaves, astate, supported by a long petiole. Long and narrow greenish-white spathe with red margin and apex folded downwards. Dark purple spathe. Native to north-western Morocco, eastern Cyprus, Turkey, south-western Syria and western Jordan where it grows on stony or clayey soils. It prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and a soil with good drainage. Tuber or plant in a long pot.
