Creeping begonia with very showy leaves. This species, quite rare in cultivation, is much appreciated for its beautiful sub-rounded leaves, wrinkled but velvety, dark green with lighter venation and intense pearly white spots. White flowers, longer than the leaves, in spring. This species grows spontaneously in the forests of Mexico and South America, preferring rocky areas or tree trunks in very shady areas with high humidity. It therefore requires a shady position and well-drained soil. Water regularly in summer but reduce watering in winter. Not hardy.
