Clumping succulent species.

Succulent leaves, smooth, speckled with white, with slightly raised edges. Initially the leaves are arranged in a fan, then they arrange themselves in a rosette and the tufts tend to clumping considerably. In spring, long inflorescences appear with semi-tubular pendulous flowers, red in color with green tips.

Species native to South Africa (Western Cape) where it grows in stony or rocky soil, often in the shade of shrubs, from sea level up to 300 metres. The rains fall more in winter, so it is also well suited to the Mediterranean climate.

It requires well-drained soil and a position in partial shade or full sun. Water once a month in summer and every 20-30 days in winter: let the soil dry between one watering and the next.

Half-hardy: can withstand some short and sporadic frosts.

Bare root well-rooted little plants.
