Clumping rhizomatous species. Ensiform leaves 30-40 cm long by 5 cm wide. Floral scapes 50-60 cm long bearing at the apex numerous light lilac flowers with yellow beard and yellow base of the wings. It requires well-drained soil and a sunny or partially shaded position. Suitable for the Mediterranean climate. Leave dry in summer. Hardy. 1 rhizome.
