Sansevieria metallica (Dracena metallica)

Rhizomatous succulent species. Erect leaves 45-150 cm long and 5-12.5 cm in diameter which shrink into a narrow and short petiole at the base. The leaves are dark green, irregularly spotted with light green and margins that are initially white and then red. The leaves become metallic green-blue as they age, hence the name of the species. Spiciform inflorescence up to 120 cm long with numerous white flowers that open at dusk. Native species of tropical Africa. The description of the species is based on cultivated plants so the correct identification of the species is not yet completely clear. It prefers well-drained soil and a shaded position. Water once every 15-20 days in summer, never in winter. Not hardy. Bare root plant.
