Species with erect or divaricate leaves up to 45 cm long by 18 cm broad. The leaves are uniform cerulean green with a papyraceous white apex and reddish edges. The inflorescence is a spiciform raceme with white flowers. Widely distributed species (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa): grows in savannah areas usually under shrubs. Well drained soil and partial shade. Water every 10-15 days in summer, never in winter. Slow growing. Bare root plant.
